A little late but never too late to give thanks....flyers are a team that is on upswing.......much rather be where the flyers are vs. some other teams with better records...with their very young team and prospects/picks coming, we may not win this year but our window is going to be open for years to come.....I'm thankful

still think they need to move giroux or vorachek to the second until to get simmonds a spark.

either have giroux and martel switch spots or simmonds and vorachek swap. they need a spark

With all due respect this is a delusional thought. Flyers are a mess right now and the kids aren't giving enough hope to offset that.

Looking forward to heading down to the game today!

The Black Friday game has long been a favorite, but I do wish they had kept the time to 1pm, instead of 4pm.

Also, looking forward to seeing Martel and Morin play today.

I thought it curious that Morin no longer has a high jersey number and while, we probably don't want to read too much into it, you wonder if this suspension is the last straw for Hextall, with respect to Gudas.

As for Martel, I'd like to see how his AHL success and junior hockey scoring translates into the NHL.

I don't see it as delusional. I understand the frustration but how this team is currently playing doesn't change the hope for the future with the Flyers outstanding prospect base.

Even in the loss I thought they looked a little better than the previous games. Hopefully today in front of the home crowd they can pick it up and get a W. Sometimes when you keep losing you get that feeling in that back of your mind your just waiting for the game to turn the other direction. One win or one bounce can re route your entire play and season.

Happy Thanksgiving and all that..

Center City is empty today which is nice!
Gonna sit in a conf room later and watch the Macy's light show without having to deal with a crowd..

Go Flyers.
It's been a struggle which I think is to be expected with so many young players right now .

On the penalty kill, the spate of seven PPGA in the last three games has dropped the team to 60-for-80 on the season (75 percent, 28th overall).

They have drastically changed the PK personnel this season. The only thing left is to change the coach in charge of the PK.

What's odd is that they had been a really good PK groove during that 14-for-15 stretch, even in a couple 5-on-3s and 4-on-3s, and then the bottom dropped out.

They've had short stretches of success on the pk, pretty much every team does over the course of the season. Overall however, their pk has been pretty bad for a long time.

They could change strategy. I'd like to see them move away from the passive strategy to play more of a pressure style. The originally made this change because they were getting burned by so many cross ice passes. They haven't been able to consistently raise the PK% so they need to change something. I still think it's a lot about personnel though, specifically defenseman.

3-2 OT win for the Flyers today.

TK gets the game winner. G moves within a point of 600.

after the game, Clarke is going to trade fan favorite Recchi to Montreal for some guy named LeClair and a D-man Desjardins and a throwin.

It's gonna turn things around guys trust me.

Goaltending is once again a poop storm.

Neuvy is what he is.. an inconsistent goalie.

Elliot is a decent goalie who was made to look better under a good Blues defense.

correct they are a mess. however, their prospects in the nhl and not yet in the nhl are prob tops in the league. the fact that many are dmen is extremely valuable.

if you dress 3 or 4 greenhorn d a game you are not going to win many of them. thats just the nhl. however, these d are ready.

that means we have to suffer. deal with it..
